What the Client Portal is for
The Client Portal is intended to support secure document exchange, service coordination, client checklists, signatures when applicable, and communication related to bookkeeping, accounting, tax planning, and tax preparation services.
Request access
Send a portal access request with basic contact information only. Sensitive information should wait until secure upload instructions are provided.
Receive setup instructions
After your request is reviewed, you will receive instructions for the secure portal workflow that applies to your service.
Upload securely
Once portal access is active, use the secure upload method for tax records, financial documents, identification, and other sensitive files.
Request Client Portal access
Use this request form to submit a non-sensitive access request. When portal invitations are configured, the system sends a secure invitation email so the client can verify their email, create a password, complete MFA when prompted, and log into the Client Portal.
What happens after access is requested
- Submit the access request with general contact information only.
- Miller Bookkeeping & Tax reviews the request and sends a secure portal invitation to the verified email address.
- The client follows the email link to verify the email address, create a password, and complete MFA setup when prompted.
- After setup, the client logs in through the Client Portal to upload documents, review action items, and send secure messages.
Prepare for secure upload
This checklist helps you get organized before uploading documents through the secure Client Portal.
Before uploading
- Save documents as PDF whenever possible.
- Use clear file names such as 2026 Bank Statement - January or 2026 W-2 - Client Name.
- Separate personal and business records when possible.
- Gather prior-year tax returns, bookkeeping files, payroll reports, 1099s, W-2s, K-1s, bank statements, loan documents, receipts, and major purchase records.
- Do not email or text sensitive documents unless specifically instructed to use a secure method.
